REPORT ISSUED WITHOUT PREJUDICE

OPS were conducted in the following Areas: Wilgeheuwel, Cresta, Honeydew, Allen’s Nek, Radiokop and Sundowner.

 

TRT Members:

On the 04th of April 2014 at 18:45pm, the above Tactical ResponseTeam members met up at the Londoloza Head Quarters and departed at 19:00pm to conduct a TRT operation:

Mugging On C. R. Swart Drive

One of our clients reported a mugging in progress on C. R. Swart Drive to Jono Rudolph one of the TRT members that was on duty. The TRT Team responded and arrested the suspects on the corner of Tin Rd and C. R. Swart Drive. The Londoloza Control Room phoned the SAPS and requested a vehicle to be dispatched for the victim to open up a case of mugging.

  Wilgeheuwel Park

A sweep of the park was done because complaints have been received from the community about drug dealings going down in the park, and also drugs being used in the park and people vandalizing the park. But the TRT members found no one making use of the park.

Chobe Heights

The Chair lady of the above complex phoned Allan Baudry to report that there is a breaking in progress. TRT member’s responded in minutes, and done a full sweep of the complex and the veld but no arrests were made. The suspects removed a slab from the perimeter wall and they bent the bars of the unit to gain access to the unit nothing was reported stolen from the unit.

Stop and Search

Stop and searches were done in the following areas on suspicious vehicles and pedestrians Wilgeheuwel, Cresta, Honeydew, Allen’s Nek, Sundowner and Radiokop. 

Hillcrest Shopping Centre:

The TRT members spend a lot of time in the Centre, to monitor and to prevent any drug dealings from happening. The guards pointed out a few suspects that they suspected are dealers because they are at the Centre almost every night. The TRT members spoke to them and warned them if they are caught with drugs or caught dealing in the Centre they will be arrested.  

Next TRT operation will be conducted next week.
